Chef Walter Stalb will celebrate Sparglefest during the month of June.  Spargel or asparagus is known as the "king of vegetables" throughout Europe and Chef Stalb's homeland of Germany's Black Forest.  He celebrates the harvest every year with a special dinner in association with the German-American Chamber of Commerce and also with a special menu of a variety of dishes perpared with authentic white asparagus. 

Independence Day, July 4, 2008.  Guests from all over the world are treated to grand festivities complete with top-notch 18th century historical re-enactment group from Fort Mifflin.  Dressed in authentic period garb, the re-enactors bring to life the daily rituals of a colonial soldier, display a military campsite, and demonstrate 18th century crafts and skills.
