First Friday is almost upon us and we've got a great assortment of paitings from the incredibly talented, realistic protraits of Jeffrey D. Martin including his amazing large-scale portraits of the classical monsters of old. We also have an awesome lineup of musical talents to start off the Halloween season the best way in the Old City District

Jeffrey D. Martin [https://www.facebook.com/Jeffrey-D-Martin-140305709403922/]

Jeffrey Martin is passionate about painting portraits and pastel landscapes that come alive on the canvas.He attended Susquehanna University, graduating with a BA in English Education. He then attended art school in New York City at the Art Students League of New York and continued his education at Penn State University where he earned an MFA in Painting and Drawing. Mr. Martin taught art classes at Susquehanna University from 1989 - 1992 and again from 2001 - 2006. From time to time, he teaches art workshops throughout Central Pennsylvania. In addition to painting portraits and pastel landscapes, Mr. Martin currently teaches two interesting and unique classes at Susquehanna University: Cult Films and The History of Horror Films. Martin’s awards and distinctions are vast including: 

- One of 19 winners, Artists Magazine International Portrait Contest
- Recipient of Zoller Scholarship from Penn State University
- Elected a MASTER PASTELLIST by the Pastel Society of America
