Founded as the Wood Turning Center in 1986, The Center for Art in Wood, a nonprofit organization, advances the growth, awareness, appreciation and promotion of artists and the creation and design of art in wood and wood in combination with other materials. Annually, the Center mounts 4-6 in-depth exhibitions has over 15,000 visitors.  The permanent collection has over 1,000 objects. The Center has published 24 exhibition catalogs.  The Museum Store has a wide variety of objects ranging fun and affordable to exquisitely handcrafted sculptures.
