Storefront Improvement Program (SIP) Grant

The City of Philadelphia Commerce Department provides matching grants for qualifying façade improvement projects for commercial properties. The purpose of the Storefront Improvement Program is to encourage businesses and property owners within targeted neighborhood commercial corridors to improve the front exterior of their commercial properties, making these areas more attractive to shoppers and growing their vitality and economic performance. The program reimburses owners of commercial buildings and businesses which provides goods and services to the community, up to 50% of the total cost of eligible improvements, for a maximum reimbursement of $10,000 for a single commercial property or $15,000 for a multiple address or corner business property.  Applicants must NOT start work until receiving a signed approval from the City. Business Security Camera Grant Program

The Philadelphia Department of Commerce runs the Business Security Camera Program, which reimburses commercial property owners and business owners for the installation of surveillance cameras, to make their location safer for shoppers and the community. The program provides a 50% reimbursement (of up to $3,000) for the total cost of eligible safety camera installations for a single commercial property.
