Garden of Eden is a solo exhibition by Rashidah Salam. The artist who grew up in Malaysia and currently residing in the United States of America. She uses flowers motifs and intense layers of images and motifs and vivid colors in her work. The flowers are treated as metaphors for gifts, hopes and prayers. Her work is a homage and it’s my way of recording and re-telling the events that have touched her and to bring the exposure and my experiences in her upbringings of growing up in Malaysia; the flora, the verdant forests and the tropical gardens she recreated in her work.
