The Old City Jewish Arts Center welcomes guests to a new show entitled, “Painting the Poetry of the Bible," featuring the works of Rhoda Ryba and Ilya Lerner. Painting the Poetry of the Bible celebrates the Jewish Holiday of Shavvuot which is not only the holiday in which the Jewish people received The Bible but it is also the holiday of the harvest. Ryba’s works, a collection of mixed-media works inspired by various biblical verses , openly commemorates the events at Mount Sinai that took place more than 3,300 years ago. Lerner’s work celebrates the harvest season full of lush landscapes and flowers.
