The Center for Art in Wood is pleased to present Pennsylvania Made, an exhibition that shines a light on its Museum Collection, curated by Artistic Director Jennifer-Navva Milliken. The Center has built an extensive collection over the course of its forty-year history, but this exhibition represents the first focus on the collection in the Gerry Lenfest Gallery since the Center’s move to its current space in 2011. Drawing from its holdings and promised gifts to the collection, Pennsylvania Made brings together more than 100 works—vessels, furniture, and sculpture among them—that show the myriad ways that wood inspires and motivates Pennsylvania artists and makers. It demonstrates the longstanding advocacy the Center has dedicated to local artists, even while maintaining its international mission and purview.
