Philly Improv Theater
**Who We Are**
Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) has been the heart of Philadelphia’s comedy scene since 2005, producing innovative performances and offering world-class training. In 2022, after a 24-month closure due to COVID-19, PHIT reopened with a renewed commitment to cultivating local talent through high-level curriculum and top-tier instruction.
Operating out of the Arden Theatre’s Hamilton Family Arts Center, PHIT’s Training Center offers four sessions per year, featuring classes in improv, clowning, musical improvisation, acting, and devised performance, among others. Over the years, PHIT has trained thousands of students and helped launch the careers of performers seen on *Saturday Night Live*, *Key & Peele*, and *Orange is the New Black*.
From producing over 1,000 annual performances to shaping the next generation of comedic talent, PHIT continues to be a vibrant hub for creativity and connection in Philadelphia’s arts community.
