Molded Ice Cream Workshop
Learn the lost art of molding ice cream from Owner Eric Berley, and Ice Cream Novelty Lead Amber Porter. For centuries ice cream was served at fancy banquets and dinner parties, molded into shapes ranging from asparagus to elephants. Sometimes the ice cream would even be painted with food coloring to enhance its appearance!
Guests will hear a brief talk about the history of this culinary delight, and get to explore The Franklin Fountain’s antique collection of molds and related ephemera. Everyone will then be lead in making two molded ice cream shapes to bring home.
