Welcome to Old City

As with last year, the Independence Ceremony & Parade will take place in the Old City area on the morning of Sunday, July 4. The parade route starts at 5th & Chestnut, continues west on Chestnut, turns north on 7th Street, turn right on Market Street, and ends at Front & Chestnut. The following streets will be closed in the area of the ceremonies from the morning of July 4th through the end of the parade in the early afternoon. 5th Street- Walnut to Arch 6th Street- Walnut to Arch 7th Street- Walnut to Market Chestnut- Front to 8th Market- Front to 8th Front- Dock to Arch Walnut- Front to 6th 2nd Street- Chestnut to Dock 38th Parallel- Spruce to Dock
