Michael Weaver, Allison Reimold, and Periodic Table III @ Arch Enemy Arts

Free and open to the public on Friday, August 4th from 5PM - 9PM, Arch Enemy Arts welcomes you to celebrate "Better Days Ahead," the first solo exhibition by local painter and fiber artist Michael Weaver. Alongside this exciting installation will be a spotlight of new drawings by the celebrated LA-based artist Allison Reimold and a group show based on elements from the Periodic Table.

MICHAEL WEAVER is a multidisciplinary artist working in Philadelphia, who specializes in the raw juxtaposition of paint and thread. He pairs his surrealistic acrylic renderings with geometrically patterned embroidery on cut wood panels for a unique visual effect that draws an important connection between fine art and craft. Weaver graduated from Kutztown University with a BS in Art Education and a BFA in Crafts with a focus in Fibers. He has exhibited in ten group shows with Arch Enemy Arts since submitting to our 2019 Spotlight Showcase, but this series marks his first solo exhibition with the gallery.

ALLISON REIMOLD is a pop surrealist painter and illustrator based in Los Angeles. She combines classical portraiture with a seductive, silky smooth application of materials to meditate on femininity, empowerment, and the female gaze. Remold graduated from Otis College of Art and Design, and in addition to her studio work, she actively illustrates advertisements for industry leaders.

PERIODIC TABLE III is the gallery’s third installment of works inspired by the fundamental building blocks of our universe and the elegant order that governs the natural world. The eclectic array of elemental characteristics offer our artists-turned-alchemists endless possibilities as they create beautiful, never-before-seen reactions in paint and sculpture.
