Our Team and Board
Old City District is governed by a 19-member Board of Directors representing major commercial property owners, local business people and residents who are deeply committed to the improvement and maintenance of Old City.
Our office is at 231 Market Street, a storefront between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Normal office hours are Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM. Programs are administered by a staff of four, who conduct ongoing management and operations.

Job Itzkowitz currently serves as the Executive Director of the Old City District, overseeing its day-to-day operations including clean and safe, marketing, and economic development initiatives in Old City, Philadelphia. Before his current role, Job served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Policy and Legislation in Philadelphia City Council, where he engaged in matters pertaining to legislation, policy, zoning, and development. Prior to his tenure at City Hall, he practiced as an attorney at Ballard Spahr for eight years, focusing on complex commercial litigation and government relations. Job is actively engaged in the civic arena, having co-founded Young Involved Philadelphia and Philadelphia250. And if you’re wondering, Job is 6’7.

With a career that boasts both small business ownership and corporate experience, Brett transitioned seamlessly into the realm of municipal administration. Since November 2009, he has been an integral part of the Old City District, contributing significantly to its growth and development. As the Director of Operations, Brett oversees key aspects of the district's functioning, ensuring its success as a thriving Business Improvement District (BID).

Leah's passion for the city of Philadelphia is evident in her work, as she strives to create compelling narratives that showcase the unique charm and cultural richness of historic Old City.
