MISSION Story Slam

MISSION Story Slam gathers mission-driven storytellers in Philadelphia to highlight their organizations, sustainable businesses, or activism projects. The event is hosted twice a year and this month’s theme is “Movin’ Right Along.” Street’s Dept. founder Conrad Benner will be joined by other well-known Philadelphians to share their story about overcoming obstacles with a live audience at National Mechanics on December 5th at 6 PM. Storytellers compete by telling a 5-minute true story on the theme of "Movin’ Right Along.” A panel of 3 judges (Michelle Histand, Executive Director of the M. Night Shyamalan Foundation, Eric Marsh, Manager of Community & Engagement at WHYY, and Hillary Do, Founder of Bolt, a nonprofit that helps communities thrive) select the best story to win a $250 donation for their favorite nonprofit. The audience also votes for the Your Part-Time Controller Crowd Favorite story to win a $100 donation. Check out stories from previous MISSION Story Slams here: www.missionstoryslam.org.
