Relaxed Experience Morning at the Museum of the American Revolution

Experience the Museum of the American Revolution’s galleries in a calm, crowd-free environment. On Sunday, February 12 from 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m., the Museum’s galleries will have lower sound effects and higher light levels to create a sensory-friendly experience. Throughout the morning, interact with replica objects and our accessibility-trained Museum staff at several stops along the way to enhance your experience. Although our films will be turned off, visitors can explore the story of George Washington’s War headquarters tent through replica artifacts. Stop by Revolution Place, our fully immersive and family-friendly discovery center. At the Front Desk, pick up a sensory guide or social story to aid your visit. Other offerings include an available quiet room and sensory kits to borrow.

Guests who pre-register will be admitted free of charge. To reserve your tickets for Relaxed Experience Mornings, please contact [email protected]. Space is limited.

Please note: The Museum's gallery experience will be modified with sound and lighting adjustments, limited crowds, no films, and other accommodations geared toward audiences with sensory sensitivities. The Relaxed Experience Morning on Feb. 12 does not include the Black Founders: The Forten Family of Philadelphia special exhibition.
