Stand Up to Falls

Dear Old City District,

I hope this message finds you well! I’m reaching out on behalf of Triad Wellness, a personal training and wellness studio based in Queen Village, to share a valuable wellness opportunity for older adults in the Old City community.

We’re launching a 10-week fall prevention class called Stand Up to Falls at Old Pine Community Center, starting Friday, January 9th at 11:00 am. This program is designed specifically for older adults who want to improve their balance, build strength, and regain confidence in everyday movement.

The class is led by Coach Steve, a movement specialist with over 15 years of experience helping older adults stay strong, steady, and independent. Thanks to support from Independence Blue Cross, the first class on January 9th is completely free to attend.

Each 45-minute class includes:

A simple balance assessment

Strength and mobility exercises to reduce fall risk

Seated and standing options for all fitness levels

A welcoming, supportive group environment

Old City residents can sign up or just show up — all are welcome.
