Tours and Presentations for Tour Guides, Docents, and History Enthusiasts

The Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides (APT) is holding a training program February 22-25 for tour guides and docents that is open to anyone with an interest in history. The program includes tours of the Northern Liberties neighborhood, the "Avenue of the Founders" in Old City, and a walk encompassing Old City to Center City on the Civil War era in Philadelphia. Also featured are a presentation on the 1838 Black Metropolis, workshops on designing a tour and storytelling, a job fair for tour guides and docents (sponsored by Visit Philadelphia), and a panel discussion with updates on plans for the 2026 Semiquincentennial from Philly250, PHLCVB and INHP. Participants may purchase the full package or individual event tickets.
