Being In Nature, paintings and wood assemblages by Chris Cox
Muse Gallery is pleased to present Being In Nature, an exhibition of paintings and wood assemblages by Chris Cox. The exhibition will be on view from Wednesday, February 5, through Sunday, March 2, with a First Friday opening on February 7 from 5 – 8 PM.
Cox’s paintings and wood assemblages were inspired during the pandemic when we all spent a lot of time out in nature – taking walks, long hikes, and generally meeting in outside venues with others. Through each season, there were different things for her to observe and appreciate – the wind blowing through the grasses and trees in summer, the awakening of spring, the colors of fall, the starkness of winter. Through these abstract paintings and wood assemblages, she has tried to capture her feelings and impressions of these times.
