The Clay Studio’s Lunch & Learn with Nuokan Huang and Frankie Reyes (Zoom)

Spend your lunch break with Jennifer Zwilling, Curator of Artistic Programs for The Clay Studio, as she introduces The Clay Studio’s newest members, ceramic artists Nuokan Huang and Frankie Reyes. Frankie Reyes, Claymobile Teaching Artist, is a graduate of Temple University. She investigates conceptual understandings of habitat while exploring the formal properties of drawing, painting, and ceramics. She describes her most recent ceramic work as a love note to Philadelphia. Originally from Shanghai, Nuokan Huang has recently moved to Philadelphia and started working at TCS as Education Coordinator in December. She has focused her work on creating miniature ceramic sculptures. The limitation of studio access and the uncertainty of her future led her to create small-scale work inspired by traditional Chinese aesthetics. Join the Zoom call to dive deeper into the works of these artists.
