Elfreth's Alley Day: A Neighborhood Fête

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 1:00 - 5:00 pm, the Elfreth’s Alley Association will hold its annual neighborhood celebration, Elfreth's Alley Day: A Neighborhood Fête. This event, which dates back to 1934 (over 90 years!), is when residents of Elfreth’s Alley open their doors to allow visitors a glimpse of 21st century life in these 18th- and 19th-century houses. Discover how generation after generation have continued to preserve, alter and add to these historic structures. This event will occur rain or shine!

At various locations along the Alley, there will be entertainment and history aplenty to enjoy as you walk by/inside the homes on the street. This year we will have musical groups, reenactors, artisan crafters, a costume corner, activities for kids, refreshments, and a cash bar.

This event is a fundraiser for the Elfreth's Alley Association, which works to preserve this historic street and tell the stories of this place through the Elfreth's Alley Museum (at houses 124 and 126) and events throughout the year. All proceeds from ticket sales goes toward supporting preservation of the Alley.
