Embroidery Collage

Experience a portable lesson in a variety of important embroidery stitches. Using fair trade sourced discarded fabrics, learn how to sew an original embroidery wall hanging. All abilities encouraged. All materials included. .

Bonnie MacAllister is going into her third year a a Resident Artist at Cherry Street Pier. Her studio practice involves interactive collaborative workshops demonstrating her studio practice of embroidery, felting, natural dyeing, and recycled textiles. Her embroidery has been exhibited at the New York Public Library, McLean Project for the Arts, the New School / Parsons, the State Museum of Pennsylvania. the Woodmere Museum, Yellowstone Art Museum, Trenton City Museum, and Sandy Spring Museum. Bonnie is the recipient of a Fulbright-Hays to Ethiopia (2009) and a 2019-2022 40th Street AIR Fellow.
