About the Work:
I look at and portray celebratory and positive figure/ground relationships. Using the felt sense, positive experiences are stored in the body, and emerge in gesture and dynamic juxtaposition on a canvas. The paintings involve puzzles; figures in landscape, and landscape in figures. Space becomes figure, and figure becomes space. The figure/ground relationship becomes blurred.
