First Fridays at Museum for Art in Wood

The Museum for Art in Wood celebrates First Friday in Old City, offering expanded evening hours for visitors to explore its gallery and permanent collections.

The late-summer season represents the culmination of the Museum’s Windgate Wood Arts Residency Program (WARP-Wood), a two-month arts residency program. In this exhibition, the international group of artists presents work created during the residency, which emphasizes research, exploration, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment. Now in its twenty-eighth year, this renowned residency offers artists specializing in the material of wood the opportunity to test their vision and skill, while developing connections with colleagues, collectors, and the city of Philadelphia. The 28th WARP Wood exhibition, Out of Place, is on display now through October 25.
