Free First Friday: Try Punch Needle Embroidery

Create an original fiber arts coaster sized piece using embroidery and punch needle techniques. Visitors are encouraged to design their own piece. Bring your valentine or friends for a craft night on the Delaware River Waterfront. All materials provided.

Demonstration of fiber arts provided by Cherry Street Pier Studio 16 fourth year resident artist Bonnie MacAllister, M.Ed. She has studied textiles while on Fulbright-Hays to Ethiopia and on residence in Iceland and Lyon, France.

MacAllister has exhibited her at the Yellowstone Art Museum, New York Public Library, McLean Project for the Arts, Trenton City Ellarsie Museum, and Abington Art Center. The work has been featured in the Huffington Post, WHYY, and Fox 29. She was selected as an Airbnb Original for her botanical dye workshops at Cherry Street Pier. Instagram: @bonniemacart
