Riverside Sessions: Funk's Way with Paul Nestler
For the first Riverside Sessions of the 2025 Season, Philadelphia Ship Preservation Guild is excited to present Funk's Way with Paul Nestler! Climb aboard Gazela, a 124-year old tall ship docked at Penn's Landing. This performance is open to all ages and is BYOB. Show will begin at 7pm with Paul Nestler, followed by Funk's Way. The Ship opens at 6:30pm.
Paul Nestler is a singer/songwriter and guitarist based in Nashville, TN. Originally from Hershey, PA, he moved to continue pursuing his dream of becoming a full-time artist. An aspiring John Mayer meets Jackson Browne meets Billie Joe Armstrong, he combines the lyricism of his favorite songwriters with the rough edges emblematic of the rock bands that solidified his love of music.
Funk's Way are a 7-piece funk/ska/punk/rock band based out of Delaware County, featuring one of the Guild's own crew members, Nate Mackhouse. Their sound consists of energetic covers of popular music--including Ariana Grande, Chicago, and Rage Against The Machine--as well as some original music. Instrumentation includes saxophones, trombones, keyboard, electric guitar, drums, and vocals.
This event has a rain date of July 26th at 6:30PM.
