Old City Eats Block Party

OLD CITY EATS BLOCK PARTY  RETURNS ON THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2025

Old City District  is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of Old City Eats Block Party on Thursday, June 5 from 5 – 9pm. The annual celebration promises an evening of diverse eats, seasonal sippers, music, and more, as a bevy of Old City’s top restaurants, bars, and eateries come together for a one-night-only block party event, held on 2nd Street between Market and Chestnut Streets. 

Hosted al fresco along 2nd Street in Old City, a number of Philadelphia’s top tier locales will offer seasonal snacks, beer, cocktails, and wine during this one-night-only block party.

48 Record Bar is a chic and vibrant venue known for its eclectic vinyl record collection and lively ambiance, offering a unique blend of music and specialty cocktails. For the Block Party, 48 Record Bar will be hosting a special DJ set. You can also shop from their vinyl pop-up market. Be sure to treat yourself to a "Hemingway Daiquiri" made with Bacardi white rum ($14). 

Brownie’s Irish Pub

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar is dedicated to celebrating Cuban heritage. During the Block Party, stop by Cuba Libre for a Rum De Coco featuring Bacardi Coconut Rum. Cuba Libre will also host DJ B3BO playing Top 40 and Latin hits, with salsa dancer performances at 6pm, 7pm, and 7:30pm. After the 7pm show, guests can join a free group salsa lesson. Stop by to take a spin on their prize wheel — everyone who joins the email list gets a free spin for a chance to win mojitos, gift cards, and empanadas!
