Holiday Shopping Sip & Stroll: Open Streets
Old City District’s signature open street celebration returns on Saturday, December 6, from 12–4 p.m. Third Street from Market to Arch will be temporarily closed to vehicles, creating a festive, walkable atmosphere. Stroll the street, shop holiday specials, sip seasonal beverages, and enjoy live entertainment along the way.
Step on board the Franklin Footsteps Holiday Trolley at Market Street for a warm-up and purchase tickets for the Original Holiday Light Tour!

Old City District requests all cyclists to walk their bikes in the boundaries of the event.

Will food and drinks be sold on the street?
No. There will not be supplemental food or beverage vendors on the street. Open containers of alcohol will not be sold and are strictly prohibited. All food and beverage sales will take place at restaurants located within the boundaries of the event.
Will there be entertainment?
Yes, there will be ambient entertainment and performances. Please note: performances are subject to change.
How is this different than a street festival?
Open Streets is an extension of public space for pedestrians. Unlike a street festival, there will be no supplemental food, beverage or merchandise vendors on the street. Guests are encouraged to support the businesses located along the route and surrounding streets. There will be no main performance stages.
