Decipher

Internationally recognized muralist and Philadelphia native Alloyius Mcilwaine presents DECIPHER, a vibrant solo exhibition that invites viewers to explore a personal visual language built from color, shape, and symbolism.

Known for his bold compositions, layered geometry, and street-influenced aesthetic, Mcilwaine introduces audiences to “Kudoglyphs”—a symbolic system of positive affirmations expressed through abstract forms. Each painting contains hidden messages embedded within these symbols, encouraging viewers to engage actively with the work. A key identifying the most prominent Kudoglyphs will be provided, allowing guests to search for and interpret the visual affirmations woven into each piece.

Throughout the exhibition, Mcilwaine reflects on the experiences, influences, and personal milestones that shaped his journey as both an artist and an individual. The show features a dynamic range of subject matter, including silhouette-based compositions, muse portraits, and freestyle abstract paintings that capture the spontaneity and energy of his process.

DECIPHER will include canvases, works on paper, and additional mixed-media pieces, with artwork available across a variety of price points—making the exhibition accessible to both new and seasoned collectors.
