Sloth
FRIEDA has a new, BIG, yellow, mellow, SLOTH relaxing above our entryway.
This large-scale collaborative installation is the surprise culmination of a 10-month-long project of FRIEDAcommunity. Composed of hand-strung disposable cutlery by volunteers, who gathered weekly around our community table (and were unaware of the final form), and assembled by artist P.W. Prichett, SLOTH invites delight, laughter, and a bit of the ridiculous and the absurd.
Join FRIEDAcommunity for a joyful celebration of creativity, connection and the unexpected magic that happens when people come together to make something beautiful. Like SLOTH, FRIEDA’s large-scale participatory art projects include everyone and invite collaboration on installations designed to inspire wonder and delight community members and visitors alike.
THANK YOU to P.W. Prichett for 1000+ hours of creative volunteering. Mark, for sharing his construction and engineering skills without whom this installation would not be lounging comfortably.
